Oregon is home to nearly 400 wineries, most of which are located along the western part of the state where the damp, moderate climate nurtures vines that produce some of the country’s finest pinots.

Nekia (nuh-KI-uh) is a common soil type for vineyards in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. This volcanic basalt soil is dominant in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and produces big-bodied, fruity pinots with clear fruit notes.

Nekia is part of the Oregon Wine Country Collection.
