I’m generally a style minimalist, but this cardigan called for a little extra. Pebble & Stone is a party of textures and graphic color that work together beautifully. Lean into bold contrast or keep it subtle and let the texture lead the way. Knit flat, from the top down, Pebble & Stone will keep your interest from start to finish. The sporty detail and stripes give this charming cardigan a collegiate feel. Try using your favorite school or team colors.

YARN: Fingering weight | Ewe Ewe Yarns Fluffy Fingering | 100% superwash fine merino wool | 200 yards/190 meters in 50g

  • MC: 280 (310, 320, 450, 520, 700, 730) yards/256 (283, 293, 411, 475, 640, 667) meters
  • CC: (Stripes) 30 (35, 40, 45, 55, 70, 75) yards/27 (32, 37, 41, 50, 64, 69) meters

NEEDLES

  • US Size 3/3.25mm (24 in/60 cm) circular needle – body and bottom ribbing
  • US Size 3/3.25mm (12 in/30 cm) circular needle or DPNs – sleeves
  • US Size 3/3.25mm DPNs – sleeve cuffs
  • US Size 2/2.75mm (24 in/60 cm) – neckline and button bands


Note: Adjust your needle size, if necessary, to obtain correct gauge.

GAUGE: 28 st and 34 rows in 4 in/10 cm in stockinette stitch with largest needle, blocked

Note: Use both yarn colors in your swatch – and wet block it before you begin – to check for possible color transfer.
