A new chapter

Today is the last day of my career as a hospital project manager, and the first day of the rest of my life as a career designer and full time fiber businesswoman. To celebrate, I’m squishing some crunchy American wool from local-ish farms (Shaggy Bear Farms in Scio, Oregon, and Black Sheep Creamery in Chehalis, Washington) and some gorgeous Shelter from Brooklyn Tweed. I’m thinking about how much I love real, hardcore, crunchy wool.

So I’m squishing and I’m thinking about what’s next. I’m sketching and calendering and penciling and Excel-spreadsheet-ing.  My mind is racing. My heart is thumping. I’m thrilled and terrified.

Cheers to a new chapter.
