Here is a quick tutorial for working my shortcut cables without a cable needle. For this particular pattern, I refer to these stitches as “Slip Right,” and “Slip Left.” I find it faster than using a cable needle and less fussy than other cable-without-a-needle methods I’ve tried. This works especially well in the Cascade Locks Tam & Cascade Locks Cowl set where the stitches are slipped on the previous row and are nice and loose for this technique.
I find this simpler than the C2B and C2F methods, and it’s quicker than CB2 and CF2 because there’s no cable needle involved.
