**IMPORTANT TIPS – PLEASE READ**
Think of this as a regular knit pattern with a brioche stitch, rather than a brioche pattern. It’s written with an older style brioche single rib instruction that is almost too simple (literally just one row repeated, without a complicated set-up row) – you’ll find yourself wanting to make it harder than it is, but please do not overthink it. BRIOCHE EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY. Keep in mind that it takes a couple of inches to see the pattern develop; the first inch or two will look super strange and incorrect. Have faith! When swatching, use a multiple of 3 to work the pattern, as this is what the pattern requires to develop.

Sizes

  • Small (32 – 38) in/ 81 – 96 cm bust
  • Medium (40 – 48) in/102 – 122 cm bust
  • Large (50 – 54) in/127 – 137 cm bust

Generous ease with relaxed fit. If in doubt, go down one size. Model shown is medium worn on a size 38in/96 cm bust.

Gauge

18.5 st and 16 rows over 4 in/10cm in brioche rib (prior to blocking). Blocking makes a significant difference to overall size and length.
