2021: The Irish Aran - Fiadh (fee-ah)

The January Workshop KAL began in 2019 with the January Gansey, an exploration of the Dutch Gansey knitting tradition. In 2020 we knit Boathouse, in a nod to the Bohus Strickning tradition. In 2021 we will delve into the history and tradition of the Irish Aran, with my newest design: Fiadh (pronounced: fee-ah).

Fiadh: An Irish name meaning wild, untamed

This year we will explore the history of traditional Irish Aran knitting, combined with Marie’s modern tutorials and new techniques. This workshop-style knitalong includes the pattern and 8 weeks of lessons and tutorials to go along with your making journey.

When you pre-order Fiadh, you will receive the KAL packet with details for yarn, size, gauge, schedule and more! The pattern will arrive for you to begin knitting on January 4th, 2021. The workshop ends February 23rd, but you will have access to the pattern and workshop files indefinitely by accessing your downloads here on Olive Knits.

For just $49.95 (includes pattern with 3 gauge options and 8 weeks of video + printable lessons) you’ll learn: how to adjust your size for different gauges, how to knit cables without a needle, short-row shoulder saddles, adding pockets and so much more4
